Keeping busy in the cold and crazy weather!
The PTO sponsored a visit from the Montshire Museum. They brought their StarLab. Our class enjoyed seeing the night sky and searching for constellations and the moon.
Add and Subtract on the Number Line
We continue to practice the Zones of Regulations with Mrs. Nelson during our "You Skills" classes.
Many wonderful Collections have come in for this month's Share.
We have completed our Non-fiction Teaching Book Unit. Everyone will publish at least one book with a fancy cover. They are excited to have official books to read to the class next week. Soon after, we will begin a new unit and learn how to do Opinion Writing based on Collections. Stay tuned ...
This week I will be administering Reading and Math assessments. This information will help to inform our upcoming report cards which will be sent home on Friday, January 26th. Please remember that there is no school on Monday in recognition of Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday. Thank you for continuing to have your child read to you nightly. If you would like books sent home "Just Right" books please let me know. Also let me know if you need a new reading log. Those kiddos that also read at home, usually make the most progress. It has been exciting to see their growth in many areas since the beginning of the year.
