I can't believe that this is the last week of school. I will miss all their sweet faces this summer. They have learned so much and I am so proud of them.
We finished the year with a very exciting Embryology unit.
What do these items have in common?
They are all in some way related to chickens.
Sorting feathers was lots of fun.
We finished up our fairy tale unit with the two versions of The Three Little Pigs.
Who do you believe - the pigs or the wolf?
The Princess felt the PEA!
Here we are performing "Reader's Theater" with familiar fairy tales.
We also invested eggs.
Here is a newer version of The Little Red Riding Hood.
We are creating quilts squares.
This is our classroom incubator. We are thankful to Leslie and Zinnia for bringing in our fertilized eggs.
There aren't many things that are cuter than a 1st grader holding a chick!!

Our class has been working on writing Realistic Fiction books. They are creating their own series by writing a few books about the same characters.
We are spelling multi-syllabic words with suffixes.

Indoor and outdoor recess fun.
