Welcome back! It has been a busy few weeks. We are excited about some new snow. The class has enjoyed sledding and playing in it.

Here we are practicing spelling using our letter tiles. We have been learning some new glued sounds and suffix s. 

The 100 Grid has been a helpful tool during math. We completed a puzzle to help us learn how the 100 grid is set up. We are leaning things such as - to move right to add 1 and down to add 10. 

We are learning to count by 10s off the decade by any given number. 

Black Bear, Brown Bear Matching Game

While we play in this weather, many animals are sleeping soundly or taking lots of naps. We painted some sleeping brown bears. 

Some animals stay active in the winter and others hibernate.

We've been learning about penguins. They are different sizes and lay different amounts of eggs. Here we are comparing them.
