Happy, Happy Snow Day!! 

Happy Groundhog Day too!

It's a great time to share a few photos of our class from last week. We've been finishing up our fairy tale opinion writing. Last week we began a States of Matter unit. The unit began with an investigation of several different materials. We created a list of Properties to describe them. 

Investigating wood, foil, pipe cleaners, a sponge, sandpaper, cloth, wax paper, clay, etc. 

Estimating Length: How long is that piece of tape that reaches across our classroom. 

How many feet? How many inches? How many yards?

How long is your classmate and other items in the room?

Which tool should we use to measure each item?

Playing school is fun!! Great choice! :) 

The 100th Day is coming next week! A 100th Day Bottle activity is coming home soon. Hopefully the weather will warm up a bit so our class can snowshoe on our new snow.
