We experienced a very interesting 4-Winds lesson. We learned lots of facts about White Tailed Deer.
Investigating Antlers
Is that a deer leg? What did you notice?
We have been investigating Light and Sound this month. Here are the specifics. |
Here we are in action!
We all went into the dark back room to see if we could see the drawing in the darkness.
Can sound travel through yarn?
Can you hear the vibrations?
What happens if you touch the tuning fork?
How's your hearing? Can you find your partner?
Hmmm - so what is happening when we hear an echo? How can bats find their way in the dark?
We enjoyed a visit with the Vermont Symphony Orchestra.
We celebrated Reading to End Racism Week at CCS.
Our whole school enjoyed a read-aloud by Laban Hill, who read his book Dave the Potter.

Thank you Mr. Uwe Mester for sharing two wonderful books with us on Thursday.
Conferences will continue on Monday. Next week will continue to write poetry including couplets, haiku, alliterations, etc. On Thursday a team of educators will observe our class during our Math Studio Day. We will be learning about frogs next month. We will need frog eggs and an aquarium set up. Please let me know if you would like to help with this. Hoppy Spring!!!!!
