Here are some photos of our last two weeks.
Celebrating Halloween!
Halloween Bingo
Have you seen Pumpkin Man and his friend?
Taking a brain break with Go Noodle.
Lexia learning
Math Games: Spin and Add
Mathematicians use a"Counting On" strategy when adding 1,2, or 3 to a number.
Mrs. Nelson shared the book "Red - A Crayon's Story" with us during You Skills. It's a wonderful book about a red crayon that is wrapped red on the outside but is blue on the inside. We discussed "We are who we are. I am who I am." Each one of us is unique and special.
Fire Safety Day was fun. We discussed the difference between toys and tools. Things like hammers, candles, and matches are tools for grown-ups only. Students practiced Stop, Drop, and Roll. Many also crawled through the smoke house. We saw a fully suited fire fighter with a breathing mask on. It looked and sounded scary, but we saw the nice fire fighter inside the clothes and mask.
4-Winds Fun! Learning about different types of seeds and how they travel.
Eating apples. Can you spot the seeds?
More exploration with sound. What causes sound? How can we stop sound?
