We're having an EGGcellent time in 1st Grade!
Our class is super excited to have fertilized eggs in our incubator. Each day we will open a plastic egg to see the progress our little embryo is making. We will also candle the real eggs to see the little embryo moving inside its shell.

Our eggs must be kept at 100 degrees with the correct amount of humidity, They must be turned a few times each day.

We began by investigating unfertilized eggs. Students labeled the shell, yolk, egg white, air cell, etc.
Our Share Theme this month is family photos. Please send in photos with your child. You may also email them to me and I will display them on our Smartboard.
We're hopping by 1s, 2s, 5s, and 10s for this game!
Our realistic fiction stories are well under way. Ask your child what there story is about. They needed to choose a character, name them, come up with a problem and a solution for their character. How does the character feel? What are they thinking and saying in the story?
Yummy, yummy birthday treat!
