Pumpkin Patch Fun!
This was a wonderful field trip and the weather was excellent. We learned about many different types of pumpkins. We also learned about why some seeds are dyed. I especially like the twin pumpkins. They grew together attached!
Soon our whole school will practice an evacuation drill. We will all leave school and relocate to the congregational church. This year our class will walk there. We practiced this walk during P.E. class last week. They did an outstanding job!
We are learning all about National Symbols. This is a great thing to do just before our American elections.
Ask your child to tell you what they've learned about the Statue of Liberty, Bald Eagle, National Anthem, Liberty Bell, White House, and the American Flag. We will create a quilt with Ms. Lubic's class. It will include 16 different American Symbols.
| Let's sort and label the symbols |

Publishing our "Small Moment" Personal Narratives
This week we met with Ms. Lubic's class to share our published stories!
Super American Symbol Shares
| "I'm proud of my dad's medals. He was in the Army." |
We have a Halloween Party planned for Halloween day just after the costume parade. The sign-up will be sent home soon. This week we finished reading Charlotte's Web. We watched a bit of the movie today. It has been great to meet with many of you during our Parent and Teacher Conferences. Thanks for all you do to help your child be a successful CCS learner.
