What's happened to our teacher?
This week our 4-Winds volunteers taught us so much about spiders!
Puppet Show
We have been helping Jack plan gardens for planting his beans. How many bricks will he need? Which garden shape would be best? Let's measure perimeter.
We're measuring with ten strips. What is the most efficient way to count?
Our 2nd graders wrapped up their American Symbol unit by partnering up to create a team quilt. Students from both classrooms worked together to design squares for our quilt. They demonstrated amazing teamwork. Here they are hard at work.

This week we also practiced editing sentences, and spelling words on our Fundations magnetic boards. We began a new read aloud. It is exciting to read about another animal adventure.
Tomorrow is Halloween. Students may come to school in their costumes. Our parade will take place right away. They may stay in costumes during our party and then will change into other clothes. Please send a change of clothes if they are not already wearing them under their costumes. As always, please feel free to email me with any questions. Happy Halloween!
