Welcome back! I can't believe it is already April. I hope you all enjoyed the Solar Eclipse. It was such an amazing experience.

We have been enjoying the warmer weather this week.

Free Choice Fun

This is a matching game. We were matching adult animals to their offspring. 

It was so nice that each student was well prepared for their animal share. 

We are learning about animal traits.

This sort is about how parents take care of their offspring.

Feeding/Carrying/Protecting

We created "Lift the Flap" cards. Each student needed to write the fact family for thier card and write a story problem to go with it.

We also learned about the different ways animals move.

We concluded our animal unit with a fun Mystery Science lesson. Each student needed to find the hidden moths in the trees. Then they colored their own moths to hide in the classroom.

We learned all about some family cultures celebrate Holi.

Below we are playing animal dominoes. Students must match animals or close ups of their body coverings.
