The 1st grade classes had a wonderful first week back at at school. Please enjoy looking at the photos with your child.

They are working on hard on the first day of school. This is a math lesson called Flip & Write.

We listened the book, The Color of Us.

Then everyone drew and colored a self portrait.

We are practicing with tally marks.

Our class listened to the book All Are Welcome. Then they created banners to welcome others and completed a worksheet sharing a space that makes them feel welome. 

Focused and ready to learn

Today during the end of math we explored manipulatives on the math shelf. 

This week students were given their new chromebooks. They practiced logging on and getting on to Lexia. 

We are reviewing letter and number formation.

Friday Free Choice Fun

It is always exciting to have a monarch caterpillar in the classroom. We are eager to watch the metamorphosis changes. Maybe next week they will make a chrysalis.
