We had a wonderful first 4-Winds presentation. We learned more about the two types of metamorphosis. The class had fun being Entomologists and searching for insects in various stages of their life cycle.
Mathematicians use different tools to measure things. We used popsicle sticks and Unifix Cubes to measure objects in our classroom. Which tool did we need more of? Why?
We chose "Small Moment" stories to publish and share with the class.
It has been great to meet with many of you for conferences. I have really been enjoying your special children.
1. Please remember that you can access our class webpage by going to the CCSVT school site and clicking on Teams. Choose Voyagers and you can find out about monthly themes, share themes, etc. There is also a link to several educational websites.
2. We will have no school on Friday, Oct. 9th. This day has been set aside for Parent Teacher Conferences.
3. I am looking for another Class Parent to help organize parties, etc. Colleen Boyce has volunteered to help, but she is new to the school and would like someone to join her.
4. We are in need of a spare snacks for kiddos who forget their snack. In the past we've had a large carton of Goldfish. This year we need something that is dairy, nut and gluten free. Perhaps gluten free pretzels could work. We'd have to check the packaging.
5. We also need wipes to clean the table in our classroom. If you would like to donate those, please send them in with your child. Thanks!
6. Homework folders should come to school every Monday for the new homework and every Friday so that corrected work can be sent home. Tuesday - Thursday they can be left at home. If it is easiest, you may remove the Reading Log and return it when it is full. Email me anytime with questions.
