Welcome back to our classroom blog. We've had a busy few weeks. The students are adjusting well to first grade.  

We are writing "Small Moment" narratives during writing workshop, These are true stories about things that have happened to them. For example a ride at fair, loosing a tooth, choosing a puppy, scoring or scoring a goal.

The butterflies are everywhere!

Last week we celebrated Dot Day. This day stems from a book by Peter Reynolds. Together we created beautiful dots by putting our dot parts together. 

We are using Cray-pas and water colors to decorate butterflies. 

We also loved making tie-dye butterflies.
