Happy Easter! I hope you are having a wonderful time on this beautiful spring day!
We have just completed our animal unit. Our class learned so much about animals.
We created Animal Journals. Below they are sorting things that scientists created by copying aspects of animals.
Below is an example of how table groups worked together to sort how animals move.
Mr. Flint joined us to work on a coding activity. Each student chose an animal and a habitat background. They used symbols to get their animals to grow, shrink, walk, hop, etc. They really enjoyed this opportunity.

Several 3rd Graders visited to read their published fairy tales to us.
We are learning a very important math skill. Using loose popsicle sticks and bundles of ten, we are learning how to add double-digit numbers. Here are two strategies we learn.
We are continuing to practice reading and spelling words with a Silent e. Silent e makes the vowel long (say its name). If you haven't hear about the Electric Company's Silent E song yet, you've got to check out this catchy tune.
