We finished reading My Father's Dragon and Elmer and the Dragon. We watched the movie on Friday before the break.
We finally puplished our Non-Fiction Teaching Books. Below are photos of the students sharing their books with their classmates.
On Wednesday we had a School-Wide Celebration for earning enough pennies to reach our goal. Students chose which classrooms to go to for 20 minutes of spontaneous fun. These students chose Puzzles and Games.

Orson's family makes maple syrup.
Owen's family spends time together on Christmas Eve and Christmas day. They have special meals, open presents, and watch Christmas movies.
Mariellen's family has Advent mittens. Each day until Christmas, she opens a mitten to see a gift hidden inside.
We are enjoying Lila's cookies and a taste of Orson's maple syrup.
We have many exciting things planned for after break. Please remember to send your child back to school with clean snowpants, jackets and boots. Quinn, Vivian, Lexi, and Jake have their Share Day on Wednesday, January 3rd. Beginning on January 10th, the share theme is a Favorite Stuffed Animal/Stuffy.
We are learning about empathy. Stand in My Shoes shares a great message.
Our class learned how to stack cups with Mr. Zach.We practiced adding and subtracting numbers playing the Frog Game.
The whole school watched the 5th-8th grade band and chorus concert.
We learned a new spelling rule. C comes before a, u, and o.
K comes before i and e.
We are practicing place value. Students are learning to represent and write numbers above 100. We have many exciting things planned for after break.
