Our recent science units began with a focus on sound and light.
Today's lesson demonstrated that the sun appears to change its location in the sky by rising in the east and setting in the west.
We studied how shadows are made.
We are making our phases of the moon books.
We created constellations.
December is Disability Awareness month. For this activity we celebrated our similarities and differences. Awareness can lead to acceptance.
Super Frogs is a game that helps students practice the skill of adding and subracting "count by 10s" numbers.
Ex. 60+20 or 70-30. We count by 10s using the numberline.
                                                       Our first playground snow
Building numbers with Base 10 Blocks (ones, tens, and hundreds)

We have been learning about our own family traditions and traditions around the world.
This month's calendar helps us practice 3D shapes.
Our super-sized numberline helps us count by 1s and 10s to 100. We also use it for addition and subtraction.
