Hope you are all enjoying the unexpected day off. I've been looking ahead to our upcoming units. Here are a few photos from last week.
These kiddos are playing "Double-it" and "Spin and Add" during math.
We are busy with literacy activities. This week we focused on the Digraphs (sh, ch, th, wh, and ck).    Ck is only used at the end of a syllable or word after a short vowel.
Sorting 5 Little Pumpkins
Our New Phonics Books
Our Annual Carnations Ceremony was wonderful. 8th grade students welcomed our Kindergarten students to CCS.
Mrs. Nelson teaches us to be BUCKET FILLERS.
Fabulous 4-Winds
This month we enjoyed our first lesson on Erosion. There was a puppet show and lots of hands-on activities. Thank you to our parent leaders. It was lots of fun and very educational.
Can you think of a way to keep the soil from eroding??
More Fall Pumpkin Fun
Super Family Shares
Happy Halloween!
Unicef boxes will go home in today folders for Trick-or-Treating. You will also receive holiday book orders. Tomorrow is the first day of November. Next week we will start a new unit based on animals and their offspring. Our new share theme will be "Favorite Animals". We invite children to teach us about the animals they love. Please help your child prepare if they choose to share. They could perhaps write down a few facts about the animal. Books or photographs are welcome but not a have to.
